Bonner Title: "What Do You Stand For?' Bonner Leader

As the Bonner Leader for WDYSF: 2011 I will act as a facilitator between the Geneva High School Class of 2011 and the Hobart and William Smith Classes of 2011 in working towards the same goal of establishing a sustainable recycling program in Geneva High School. I will communicate with the HWS members of WDYSF and the Geneva High School sophomores and administrators, specifically the principal and class advisor.

As the Bonner Leader for WDYSF: 2012 I will schedule meetings times and places, and also run meetings for the HWS Class of 2012's What Do You Stand For initiative: Projects with Geneva. During the meetings I will encourage an exchange of ideas while making suggestions of my own and offering contructive criticism. It is my responsibility to make sure the members of the group are all aware of what each other is doing, and it is also my responsiblity to make sure each member is effectively communicating with one another.

Goals

Coordinate the What Do You Stand For initiatives of the Classes of 2011 & 2012. Work with each class to determine what issue or cause they will work on together over the course of their 4 years in order to make a material change by graduation. For the Class of 2011 this is working with the Class of 2011 at Geneva High School on environmental projects and informal mentoring. We are working on establishing a recyling program at the high school and also distributing reusable bags with a WDYSF logo to Geneva Community members.

For the Class of 2012 it will involve working with a number of Geneva community partners on projects to benefit Geneva. Each member of the group will meet with different leader in the Geneva community, i.e. Mayor, Town Supervisor, City Manager, etc. Following the meeting they will meet and determine what part of Geneva they want to work on bettering, and then work with the Geneva community to improve that certain area or aspect of the city.
