Implementing a solid mentoring program between the College Community and students of High School Age in Geneva

Monthly Updates

The team has branched out and have been going to the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center on Fridays so far. On these days, we mingle with the students and try to get a grasp on what is on their minds.  Moreover, we see who needs our assistance the most. At the meetings, we also talk about issue that are relevant and pertain to our world.

Goals

We got accepted to our Theme House for next year. Big news, we are trying to have this as a theme that will be sustained after my departure from the colleges. Right now we are in the process of selecting members of our house.  We will continue to be in contact with community members to get a grasp on what we can do for our community around us.

The link below is Marist College's Upward Bound Program, which I have had some experience with.  In the end, I would like to have our initiative mimic the overall theme of the Upward Bound program-albeit in a smaller way.
