Service-Learning Colleagues

A Service-Learning Colleague plays an important role in building a solid service-learning program.  Each Colleague represents the service-learning class in which they are currently enrolled in.  Thus, in addition to being a part of a large support network for the students, they also provide their professors and the Service-Learning Team valuable insight as to the current situation in the classroom and on the sites.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN SLC: 

• Must be enrolled in a service-learning class during the semester that he/she would like to hold the position.
• Should show interest and initiative in taking their service-learning experience to the next level.
• Should be comfortable speaking with their peers about the course, the sites, and service-learning experiences.
